Invisalign Q&A

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a set of clear plastic orthodontic devices (aligners) that aim to give you straighter teeth.

As they are transparent, they are virtually invisible once in your mouth.

Start with the end in mind…firstly you will have a clincheck.

This is a digital simulation showing what Invisalign can achieve for you.

Once you are happy with the proposed end result, the Invisalign orthodontic process begins.

You will be provided with a set of Invisalign aligners- each for a different stage of your treatment.

You will change to your next stage roughly every 2 weeks which you will do yourself at home following the plan your dentist has made specifically for you.

They have been clinically proven to gently move your teeth into the correct desired position and to even rotate your teeth if need be.

Impressions are taken, and retainers specific to you are fabricated. These retainers that are made solely for you, so they fit snugly over your teeth.

Before Invisalign

After Invisalign

This is all dependant on your teeth and how much work is needed. It can be as little as 3 months. A timeline will be discussed with you at your consultation. You will get an accurate time frame after you have undergone the Invisalign clincheck process.

You should notice a change very quickly, and as such, people will notice your straighter teeth more than they will notice your clear Invisalign system!
