Professional Background

After graduating from the University of Birmingham with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery, Dr Nandra worked in London. He spent his formative years furthering his training and gaining experience in cosmetic dentistry and dental implantology. Later he returned to work in the West Midlands at the Edgbaston Dental Centre. In 2006 he became the owner of Edgbaston Dental Centre, and in 2014 he took over Rock House Dental Practice.

Dental Awards

Anoup was a finalist in the 2011 “Smile Awards”, and was also very proud to be the winner of “Midlands Best Young Dentist” in the 2012 Dentistry Awards. Subsequently, his practice was again shortlisted for “Best Practice” in 2013. Also, in 2013, Dr Nandra was voted into the ‘Top 20 Elite Dentists‘ in the UK.

Dr Nandra is an active participant in the dental community. He is a member of the following dental associations:

Education

Committed to continuing education, Dr Nandra constantly enhances his knowledge by participating in courses throughout the world. Some of his educational achievements are listed below:

• Royal College of Surgeons, Membership of the Joint Dental Faculty (MJDF)
• Diploma in Dental Implantology from the Eastman Dental Hospital (UCL)
• Masters in Dental Implantology (UCLan)
• Post Graduate Certificate in Medical Education (U.Wlv)

His training in cosmetic dentistry is mainly from the USA where Dr Nandra was an active member of “The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry”. As a result, his active role in continuing education has kept him abreast of the latest advances in the dental field.

Teaching and Lecturing

Aside from his own education, Dr Nandra enjoys teaching others having taught undergraduate dental students at the University of Birmingham for a number of years.

Since 2007, Anoup has been approved as a “Dental Foundation Trainer”. Notably, this prestigious appointment requires him to help train and mentor newly qualified dentists from his practice.

He is also approved as a mentor for the Association of Dental Implantology (ADI) allowing him to help and tutor dentists requesting advice and support in the field of dental implantology, and for the Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry (SAAD).

Dr Nandra has lectured both in the UK and internationally on the subjects of dental business management, facial aesthetics and dental implantology. Dr Nandra provides training courses in dental implantology, facial aesthetics, and dental sedation from his practice.

Outside of Dentistry

Dr Nandra enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He is a keen cricketer and plays for a local team at the weekends. Currently, he is doing his best to improve his golf handicap. Anoup is also a long-suffering supporter of Worcestershire CC and Aston Villa FC.
