What are dental implant supported dentures?
Lots of people wear dentures. However, almost all denture wearers tolerate dentures. No denture wearer would say that their dentures are as good as teeth. Dental implants can help! A dental implant is used to replace a single tooth or many teeth that have been lost. They provide a function in the same way that natural teeth would. In the case of dental implant supported dentures, the dental implant fixtures act as anchors to improve the stability and retention of the dentures.
The standard of care
In fact, two implants to support a lower denture is talked of as being the standard level of care for someone with no lower teeth. Anything else is substandard dentistry!
What is a dental implant?
A dental implant fixture is a titanium screw – it acts a bit like a raw plug that you would use in a wall. The fixture serves as the replacement for the tooth root which is missing. The dental implant fixture inserts into your jawbone, and then a small screw inserts into it. As a result, a crown, bridge or denture can attach painlessly over it.

Dental implants stimulate the bone they are in, consequently, slowing the process of bone shrinking.

They are very durable and offer you another chance to have fixed teeth!

Very welcoming staff at reception who were polite and respectful, unlike other experiences i have had even before being seen by a dentist. The dental treatment which was complex was performed with excellence and more professionally.
The practice itself was very clean and modern having the latest equipment to provide a pleasant patient experience.

- Overall amazing experience from the first phone call with my enquiry being answered polity and professionally to the numerous reminders via text email and phone call (this was a lifesaver and much appreciated) the waiting room is clean and tidy. Then into my appointment now I’m not a fan of dentists but Dr Aron was calming from the moment I walked in explained everything that she was doing and even managed to get me to have a deep clean/ scale and polish (first and last one of these was 14 years somewhere else). I’ve never been happier with the look of my teeth and this is only the first visit.

Had to have an emergency appointment, followed up with an extraction. They were really accommodating and sympathetic, I got treatment really promptly. Even the procedure was ok because they paid great attention to pain relief .
- I went for an appointment with Dr Bushell this morning. I must say i was nervous when i got there but he put me at ease straight aways with his personable and calming with his approach. He explained everything that he was going to do and honesty made my experience very pleasant. He explained the dental plan very well which i have now sighed up for. The receptionist helped me set it up and was very warm and friendly. I would like to say a big thank you to all of the staff there.

First appointment at the rock house dental practice today. Would recommend them -especially for someone who is either nervous or haven’t been to the dentist for awhile (this was me) .
A very thorough assessment and talked through everything and different options , were not pushy over recommendations and treatment plans - I’ve been with Rock Dental for a long time. Today I went for a review of a root canal done last year by Dr Kristlee Fernandes. When it was done I couldn’t believe how painless the whole procedure had been. Kris put me at ease and was very gentle. All went well at today’s review so I know he did an excellent job. The practice is now at its new location (273 Tettenhall Road, Wolverhampton), which is beautifully appointed, spacious, warm and welcoming. All the staff are so friendly and helpful.

There’s no one more nervous about visiting the dentist than me and they made me feel completely at ease. Had to have the tooth extracted but my dentist Kiran made sure it was completely painless.
