Myth 1
MYTH: The best time for anti-wrinkle treatments with Botulinum toxin is when the lines appear
FACT: If you can get ahead of the game, it may help you in the long run. Waiting until lines become etched into the skin means it’s much more difficult to smooth their appearance again. These treatments reduce lines and wrinkles formed by muscle movements like scowling, squinting, and raising eyebrows. Often by starting preventatively, our muscles can actually learn to not make certain expressions and contribute to worsening their lines. By not making certain expressions in the future, or making them less often, you may actually need fewer treatments, or need it less often.
Myth 2
MYTH: If you stop getting regular treatmentswith Botulinum toxin, it will make your wrinkles worse
FACT: No, They’ll just go back to the way they were before. If you decide to stop having treatments, you will slowly lose the relaxing effect of the treatments and will resume the normal development of wrinkles with movement. Your fine lines and wrinkles will not get worse. Treatment results are not permanent and last typically last four months. The results last a little bit longer for those undergoing injections at regular intervals over time. This is due to muscle atrophy as the muscles having been immobilised for a long period.
Myth 3
MYTH: Muscle relaxant treatment with Botulinum toxin is just for wrinkles
FACT: Not at all, the treatment of migraines involves reducing muscle tension creating less strain on the nervous system. Injections can also be used to temporarily block sweat glands to stop excessive sweating.
Myth 4
MYTH: Botox is something only women get
FACT: Jokingly referred to as “Bro-tox” more and more men are getting cosmetic skin treatments. Wrinkles can sometimes make men appear angry, not to mention older. Cosmetic skin injections can help soften up this look to just give a more approachable appearance, which can help men a great deal in business matters.

Professional and friendly staff dentist made you feel really calm and relaxed. Not a bad experience at all for a dentist will definitely be going back. 
- Ultimate Halloween horror today. I went to the dentist this morning. It was a long job. I was given a local anaesthetic, layed back horizontally in the chair. Various clamps and grips were fixed in my mouth to keep my mouth open and my head still. Above me were three white bright lights. The surgeon set to work with her high speed drill. My mouth filled with water and I gasped to get my breath...Then.....Then I saw the WASP.
It circled me angrily, trying to get to the light.
Frantically I gasped and gurgled and pointed to the wasp .........
Just joking folks! Although there really was a big fat wasp in the surgery it was high on the ceiling and a familar sight to the team.
Excellent work done yesterday on my 4 front teeth. Thank you very much. - I have been a patient at this practice for a number of years and have always found them to be caring and professional. Had my first appointment at their new location today. It's slightly nearer to town than the old location and is very smart and spacious. I'm sure that the treatment there will be as efficient as the old one.

Let me know if you’d like any tweaks! - These guys have proved time and again for me that they care more, when I needed emergency care they performed miracles and then repeatedly rang me to check how I was. Then they coached me to make sure it didn't reoccur. They've repeatedly told me not to have treatment if they wouldn't themselves rather than just selling to the max. Integrity and care, exactly what you need in a dentist.
- NHS treatment just wasn’t cutting it. Joined Rock Dental when I hit 30years old and it’s honestly the best thing I’ve done for my health.
Spent a-bit initially to fix and replace some shoddy NHS work (by others) filling replacements and wisdom teeth out. but that alone made me realise how good Rock Dental is.

- Having broken my crown on Thursday, 19th December 2025 in the morning , I visited the practice hoping that they could help me, especially near Christmas time! The lady at the reception was most helpful saying that I would be able to see someone within 40 minutes, considering that they had appointments during the day. Aran who saw me was very professional in every way, explaining to me what the cause could be. Having a temporary crown fitted on the same day felt like an early Christmas present. I couldn't thank her enough. A credit to Rock Dental and all the team. I wish them a very Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
- I was out of the area I needed a dentist ASAP so from word of mouth I was recommended to go to Rock House Dental Practice and what a dentist. One of the best Practice I have been to yet, clean and tidy and the staff where like family to me very welcoming I will visit again when and if I eat too many sweets thank you all
- I may have been one of Dr Anoup Nandra's more challenging patients,requiring some intricate treatment , having lost my teeth after years of having crowns caps
fillings etc from a previous dentist I must say! It came the time I needed to bite the bullet, no pun intended ! to have dentures ,something I'd dreaded as my lower jaw was very thin and no matter how much fixative poligrip eg they were always on the move and uncomfortable, so I did some research as to what options I had, to overcome the problem, fortunately that's when I came across Dr Nandra who sympathetically assessed my situation and recommended I had an implant retained overdenture , I did and was he right ! that was about eight years ago, unfortunately I accidentally broke the denture recently ,so I phoned the Rock Team they got me in straight away, Dr Nandra soon sorted me out and now I'm chomping at the bit again, just in time for all the Christmas nuts and nice eats so to anyone who has a similar dental problem ,don't suffer, get in touch with the Rock team , I'd highly recommend them .
